I decided I needed to write an anthem, brimming with optimism. This is the result. Then I needed an optimistic but bluesy voice. So I called on my colleague Kelli Cargile-Cook, who hails from East Texas and has a good bayou vibe going. Finally we realized we needed something shakin', which producer Amy DeVoge cheerfully provided via the plastic percussion egg.
